…for Young Readers

Did you know that book writing doesn’t really end? I am still busy researching the provenance of some photos that I HAVE TO HAVE in the book. Which led me to this photo archive and this photo archive and this one, too.

Jane Jacobs on highwaymen in 1961.

Significant Miscellany

Looks like a really good list of ideas that just might change the world. And another fascinating list. (‘Tis the season for lists!)

This crafty video is relaxing and inspiring at once.

“She hid explosives under her clothes. She delivered maps and antifascist propaganda slipped between the pages of works by Cicero. She brought medicine by bicycle to wounded partisans hiding in the mountains.” Rest in Power Lidia Menapace, who fought fascists and sexists and died at age 96.

I know we’re not all gathering around the dinner table with friends (which is a downer) but on the plus-side that might give us more time for lounge-y afternoons on the couch with books.

May it rain down with firsts like these.
